I'm drowning in it.
GET OVER YOURSELVES.
You know what's hard? LIFE MOTHER F*#$%^&. No matter what your status. I don't care if you're single, married, with kids, without kids, 20 cats, 100 fish, a llama, 4 chickens, a mortgage and a damn job.
IT'S ALL HARD.
IT'S ALL HARD.
We don't need other people's opinions (ironic as I'm typing this in my blog) to tell us how to live or to justify the damn choices we're making.
You don't want to make Pinterest inspired birthday decorations/valetines cards/dinner/home decor?
F*cking DON'T THEN.
F*cking DON'T THEN.
Oh you do? Then knock yourself out! Go to town! Glue shit and bedazzle your wallet and make whatever you damn well please. But whichever you choose - don't look to the rest of us (strangers) to justify your decisions. Cause we don't care. We're all too busy doing something else that's relevant to our own lives to care about that non-life-changing decision you just made about crock pot pork chops.
Working moms vs Stay At Home Moms - both are hard. Yup. Got that. Check. Moving on. Don't need to read it 40 times a day.
Raising grateful kids - hard. again. Got that. Requires effort. Yup. check again. Next.
We're all adults. If I want to lean in or out - work harder not smarter - get a masters - be a SAHM (that means Stay-at-home-mom I think) then what's stopping me? I make decisions based on what is best for me, my family, and my life. That's not to say I don't discuss these with my husband, my friends, or my family. I do. And I value their opinions and views. But at the end of the day, these blog posts aren't helping you make your own decisions. Stand on your own two feet.
And if you like those posts, that's fine. I read them too. But stop judging each other based on the choices we make and looking for justification of your own choices.
Rant. Over.
Now I need to go sew some custom curtains and put some chicken in the crock pot while I work my full time job and also get in an hour or two of exercise, all while teaching my 1 year old to read and speak 4 languages and get her volunteer hours in for her college application.
