18 months!

Well little bear, it's officially been a year and a half since you entered the world and turned it on it's head. You're so fun and full of personality. You also have the ability to turn a clean house into a war zone in a record amount of time. We love watching you grow, I know I say that every time but it's amazing how much you change!

Stats
Age: 18 months
Weight: 27.6# (87%)
Height: 32.5" (75%)
Head: 19.1 (94%)
Teeth: Bottom two and the top two are coming through as I type this.
Diapers: Size 4
Clothes: 24 Month, some 2T
Shoes: Size 5
Favorite Food: Bananas, clementines, cheese, eggs, yogurt, chicken, peas, ketchup
Words: Dada. Mama, Bobo, bubble, all done, hi there, bye
Likes: Food, going for walks, swimming, chasing Bailey, rolling a ball, playing with cars and in the toy house, couch forts, Gloworm, reading books
Dislikes: Being told No
Sleep: 12 hrs a night and a 2hr nap at daycare, on the weekends there are normally 2 naps.

A few things to note -
- She has the Elliott head size for sure.

- Teeth are slow and painful. Most kids have way more teeth by now, but hers are taking their time. We can see them all but really its just been the last 24 hours that the top 2 have broken through. Hasn't slowed down the growth at all, clearly!

- She moved up from the infant room to the toddler room at daycare. So now naps are on a mat, lunches are provided and you eat at a table with the other big kids.

- Height is increasing pretty rapidly. The doctor even noted that every appt. she's up another % in the growth (12 month - 44%, 15 month - 57%, 18 month - 75%). Just making up the lost inches from being stuck breech for so long I guess!

We've been so busy these last few months that I'm sure I've missed something important to add to this little list I keep of milestones.

Music is a new favorite in our house. Well not new for me. I've always had music on around me but lately M has started to appreciate it. She is happier when there is noise in the background. Not television shows, just the music. We have Pandora playing all the time and she will find a beat and bob her little head for a minute then continue on her way. Try to turn it off and she'll come back from wherever she was pointing at the tv (streaming Pandora) and ask for more.

Being in the big kid class at school has been an adjustment for all of us. It was hard to leave such a fabulous teacher in the infant room but also being the oldest in the room didn't help development wise. M needed more. Now that she's the youngest, she's picking up on a lot of new things and her vocabulary is definitely growing. Plus she gets to play outside everyday and do crafts and stuff.

I'm excited for the upcoming Fall because well it's my favorite time of year, the weather, the activities (football, pumpkin patches, holidays, did I mention the cool weather)! And most importantly - holidays mean visits from friends and family who are far away. Aunts and Uncles and cousins all come in and we get to spend time with the best people in the world! And they get to spend time with M and laugh with her like we do every day.

Oh Fall. Will I always feel this nostalgic about you? I hope so.
